Description +:::the light

_____________

booming skies are complimented by the crackling and bangs on the ground...

Three strikes and a lone firework are launched into the sky.
The lone street light begins to light the sky as well.
Just after the has gone down...

This is when the sky lights up.

I love this shot. My first time shooting lightning. I was on my roof...and instead of trying to get AWAY from the street light...I decided to embrace it. The green look of it is the result of the polorizing filter. I took this on the very night of the 3rd of July...everyone was blowing up fireworks...nobody cared about the lightning in the skies...it was a dry thunderstorm and it was AMAZING.

Vancouver, WA. USA

quality and light are everything...
but the inspirations are the reasons why all else succeeds.

Just stunning. Excellent capture of lighting and it works perfectly together with the light and trails of the fireworks.

Manual mode on timer or shutter release...you have to have a very high f/stop and low ISO.

Your so lucky to have seen that in person. ^^ That must have been awsome! The picture itself is wonderful! The street light just adds to the picture. I also love how the sky is different shades of purples and blues. xD Not much else to say besides it's an fantastic picture! ^^

the thing about it is...it only last .5 of a second. So, capturing it is definatly more important that just seeing it!
