Allison had seen and heard enough. Katie had finally gone too far as far as she was concerned.Interference in these matches, rules tossed out the window, suspect actions throughout the whole process. And now one more transgression by Katie in a match where she seemingly had all the advantages. Her girl was in the wrong part of town and she knew exactly what those two could do in that situation.
She did what she felt she needed to do. It was time to push back and she was ready to do just that. It did not take her long to get around the ring to the opposite side of the ring.
Katie was no fool, she had more than enough time to take her actions off Holly and retreat away from the ring to put even further distance between her and the oncoming Allison. It was a savvy, champion caliber move. Get some distance and get set to meet the challenge.

I've read this whole description three times because I didn't want to just jump at what I saw in the image. Obviously, Allison coming to the rescue is on point for her character, and it's exactly what we want to see.
Except... is it?
I keep coming back to that last sentence.

I think we Ally fans all believe Ally can handle herself here. That she can be more than a mere challenge for Katie. But isn't that based on a fairly level playing field. Is that what this is? Not really. This feels more like Allison playing Katie's game.
I'm looking forward to their legitimate match, but this... this I don't like.

What I was going for there was Katie getting some distance to meet the challenge of an onrushing Allison. I might have to reread that one and make that correction.
Allison is so intent on making sure her girls get a fair shake that she let Katie dictate the terms here and took her eye off the ball.

What you wrote is fine. In fact, my point and your point are exactly the same. I just did a poor job of expressing it.
What I was getting at is that Katie isn't surprised or concerned that Ally is coming. The way she's casually preparing to meet the challenge shows this is exactly what she wanted... and Allison is running right into it. Can Ally kick her ass? Katie would probably say no, but she would at least be a bit worried. That's not the case here because she knows it's not going to come to that. She has something else in mind.
Without realizing it, Allison is letting Katie dictate what's about to happen.

That's much more in line with what I was thinking. Allison just let emotions take over for a moment. She's been so good about keeping them in check and I'd say Katie's appearance here probably frayed them just enough to make her lose focus.

I recognize that Katie is a big girl and all, but that still takes some courage, to stand and face off against a charging Allison!
