Allison and Katie had never grown close like their parents thought they would. Two little girls of similar age and they never really became friends. It was Allison who took to fighting and Katie who followed suit. It was Katie who seized the void left when Allison decided to make the gym her big priority and the two grew apart. Other than holiday pleasentries they never talked, now here she was standing in Allison's office.

"I like what you've done with the place, you've got a nice little joint going here."  Katie says as she looks out the window and views the action.

"Cut the crap, Kate. What're you doing here?" Allison's agitation begins to make it's way into her voice. "You never wanted anything to do with this place.   Frankly, I understand it. You took the stardom route and I took the business route. What do you want?"

"It isn't what I want Ally. It's what Im going to get. Im guessing you talk to your mom regularly and know things aren't good between her and my dad."

"Yeah, its no secret. Your dad is a no good weasel. Even you know that. He drinks too much, is terrible to her and I dont understand what she ever saw in him. Im glad they are going their seperate ways. So what?"

"All true. He's not a good man, but he's still my father. And now he's got the goods on your mom."

"What's that mean?"

"Well, it seems your mom is the one cheating on him!" Katie spun and faced Allison, looking for a reaction.

Allison knew her mom wasn't happy and had been hoping for divorce, but this news had come as a surprise.

"What in the hell are you talking about?"

"Im talking about your mom's several rendezvous with her new man. Seems my dad got suspicious one day and followed her. A few pics later and boom. Now he holds the cards. He's gotten a good lawyer. And here's the good part.   He's going for everything in the divorce. Including her shares in this little enterprise you've got here! He tells me when he gets them, he's giving them to me."

That last hit Allison like a load of bricks. If that was true then Katie would have a majority stake in the gym. It would become hers.
