So this was my first attempt with making (and coloring) actual line art. IT TOOK FOREVER. How does it look? I'm not sure if I like it any better then earlier works, truthfully.

Anyhow, this is a Fire Empire bonus assignment; Cub time! XD

So Andromeda is just chillin', keeping the cubs entertained for a bit. In the background, Brutus is guarding the prisoners, and on the rock Soren is watching over his Empire. For some reason when I think of the den where we keep the prisoners, I keep imagining it as having bars around it. Heck, why not? If our blacksmiths can make armor, why not cages and bars?

Yes, I gave the lion cubs spots...because lion cubs have spots XD I also didn't put any armor or anything on them. Same reason we wouldn't put jewelry on a baby. (:

The day had been slow, and nothing out of the ordinary had happened. All the patrols that were needed had been sent out, and everyone had been fed. Andromeda was just returning with Soren from the Sandy Meadow, where they had held a huge training session. After entering camp, Soren broke away and climbed to the top of his rock and sat to watch his Empire below him. Andromeda went to the armory to put her armor away, and emerged not long after, thankful to have it off on such a warm day; Her thick fur was plenty enough to keep her too hot as it was.

Andromeda's thoughts were still on the battle training, however. Half of the cats there had been apprentices. It had been a few months since her former apprentice died mysteriously, and she missed having an apprentice. Andromeda sighed, wondering when she would become a mentor again. Maybe one day. She thought to herself. The sounds of playful cubs squealing broke into her thoughts. She looked up. Gwen and Shadow and Aphrodite were outside the nursery, play fighting. She found her exhausted paws padding their direction, and dipped her head to Brutus as she passed him. She stole a glance behind him, where bars helped keep the Bounty Hunter prisoners in their den.

Andromeda called a greeting to the cubs as she padded up. And one of these cubs may become my future apprentice. She thought briefly. They stopped play fighting and looked up at her with excitement.

"What are you playing?" Andromeda asked in a friendly tone.

"Attack the Bounty Hunter!" Squealed Gwen, the tiger cub. "Shadow is Furie, Aphrodite is Juno, and I'm Soren! RAWRRR!" She reared up and launched herself at Andromeda's leg. Andromeda wasn't usually one to let herself look silly, but she had a soft spot for cubs.

"Oh no!" She gasped in pretend fear. She let herself fall over and be attacked by all the cubs at once. "Don't kill me! Have mercy!" Andro pleaded, laughing.

Gwen tilted her head, thinking. "Hmmm. Okay! We beat you!" She mewed, jumping up and down.

"We win!" Shadow declared triumphantly, standing on Andromeda's back.

"Of course we won!" Aphrodite squealed, still batting at the end of Andromeda's tail.

"You silly cubs," Andro laughed with a smile, ruffling the fur on the top of Gwen's head.

Gwen stood half on Andromeda's paw and looked up at her. "Where are your cubs?" She asked boldly. Andromeda flinched and looked at her in surprise, unprepared for the question.

"I don't have any." The snow leopard replied simply. I don't even have a mate!

"Will you ever have cubs?" Gwen asked curiously, but Andromeda was already lost in thought.

"Maybe one day," She murmured, half to herself.

Maybe one day...
