Description Bradley James and Colin Morgan
of BBC's TV Show: Merlin

× Bradley: Prince Arthur; The headstrong, arrogant and reckless but kind and good hearted son of King Uther, and future King of Camelot. Merlin must protect him from harm to fulfill this legend. Arthur becomes friends with Merlin, and the pair have saved one anothers lives on numerous occasions.

× Colin: Merlin; a young, remarkably talented magician (and a Dragonlord, a gift passed down from his late father Balinor) who attempts to keep his powers secret and will one day become the greatest wizard in the world. He is also Arthur's friend, despite the initial animosity between the two.

PS: Now I'm a Slash Fan.. Is there REALLY any "Homophobic" relationship between this two??

*I just watch this show a couple day ago on my TV, so I didnt know much about 'em*
*and I'm still downloading Their 1st season*
*and from the very first time I saw Merlin's reaction towards Arthur, I THINK there's "This Relationship"*

*and I know Bradley and Colin ARE STRAIGHT!*

do you mean homophobic or homosexual? eaither way as cool and funny as it would be to have an arhturmerlin love love. its highly unlikely.

no what people see and choose to see as romance inthe series is more a bromance (kind of love you have tfor a friend not a lover) the actors them selves have said they are trying to play the relationship between their charactors as close friends. and that if people are reading more into it they are doing their job

well the true legend ends with arthur marrying gwenivere (dunno how you spell her name )and merlin just stays as his loyal companion in a way i dont think there's going to be any 'relationship' in those sorts of ways. Merlin only risks himself to protect the future of camalot coz arthur needs to become king otherwise... bad things will happen or summut like that

um sorry. being pedantic but the legand actually ends years and years after arthur and gwenn marry.
in the legands arthur has kids and gwen goes off with lancelot then lancelot gets annoied because gwen goes back to her husband arthur and so lancelot teams up with morgan le fay and mordred and theres a big fight and arthur and mordred kill each other.

but. from what i can see they aren't necessarily sticking to the legands.

Actually, Arthur and Guinevere never had any children as Gwen was unable to bare any.
Guinevere and Lancelot had an affair and after they were discovered, they were banished from Camelot. Gwen never returned to Arthur. If she had she would have been executed.

Lancelot doesn't team up with Morgan. Little is known about what happened but it is suspected that Arthur killed him.

Mordred and Arthur do end up killing each other at the battle of Camlan. Mordred is the son of Morgan/Morgana and Arthur.

actually i've done some resurch into the legands as part of a project i'm working on.
and what you mention is but one take on it. and i never said arthur and guinevere had kids what i said was "in the legands arthur has kids " which he does. some believe guinevere to be mordreds mother. though him being morgan and arthurs son is a widely acepted version.

also. i was wrong. mordred is believd to have persuaded his father to go to war with lancelot so that he could claim the throne on hearing this arthur is believed to have returned to camelot to deal with things lancelot returns also but arives to late to save his friend arthur.
he is thought to have become a monk in glastombury only to have a dreame that gwen needed him. he rode to see her ariveing to find her dead. greif striken at the loss of arthur and gwen he neither eats or sleep and dies a few weeks later. he is also galahads father.

but again. they are not sticking to the legands mearly useing then to draw inspiration so who knows where the bbc will take the legand.

I have also done my research into the Legend, it's something I have grown up with.

Arthur fathered Mordred and there is some mention of another child out there. Just none with Guinevere. Guinevere is largely believed to have been barren so she couldn't Mother any children.

I have mainly heard and read that Arthur and Mordred were at war against each other. Mordred wanted the throne from his father (as well as his respect and aknowledgement) and Arthur wouldn't aknowledge his claim to the throne due to them wanting different things for Albion.

I have heard about Lancelot dying at Arthur/Guin's graveside and about him being Galahad's father, but both are uncertain.

I know they're not. But they are sticking to some basics like Arthur and Gwen's relationship, Gwen's affetcions for Lancelot and Morgan joining forces with Mordred.

I don't know if there's any homophobia in their relationship, but the show itself, at times, displays homophobic elements.
Also this is a cute pic! I feel the love!

Actually I meant homophobic initially. There are homophobic elements to season 2.

You mean like how Merlin always acts to Arthur, like when Arthur drank the poisoned drinks??

Yeah I do! There's definitely a relationship there, a more complex and realistic relationship than they have with any of the females who sort of show up for an episode of awkwardly worked in, completely unconvincing hetero then are completely forgotten for the next three episodes.
