Happy Not-anymore-Valntine's day!

Just an update to show where I'm taking this beastie.

I've decided he's a Michael Jackson Fan, hence the gold shoulder-belt things.
I'm sure MJ is still relevant on some planet in deep space.

Now I'm imagining a huge group of dinosaur people flash mobbing to "They Don't care About Us".

I read somewhere that the Triceratops is Peter Laird's favorite animal.

Design notes:
For whatever reason, I imagined them as gluttonous aliens with an affinity for gold and fine silks. I figured the reddish tone to their skin was red clay mud, with their true skin tone being more of an greyish-blue hue. He's had his horns in-layed with gold, his frill pierced, and brandishes numerous gold rings and bracelets. I also felt he should look like a brick wall, less like a bodybuilder with the head of a triceratops. I also imagine they smell awful, being dino-people, and as such shower themselves in expensive oils and perfumes. His nails are neatly trimmed, and his breath is minty fresh.

Just some silly ideas.

This image will change as I get around to cleaning it up and refining the design. More of a colour study, in trying to keep each of these TMNT redesigns feeling unique from one another.

I tried a variant with green eyes, and blood on the gold knives:

Not sure if I like breaking up the color palet with the green...

I thought about giving him two smaller male servants, both thin and frail. Maybe once I go to zbrush.

I wanted to evoke a John Carter of Mars/ Flash Gordon/ Space Opera-ish feel.

Looks like the Triceratons were best represented in the TMNT television show from 4kids entertainment.
I like what they did, just trying something else.
