I'm a huge sucker for confessions that are vague and dodgey. (For example, Shawn's love confession to Juliet in Psych. He simply said that he adored his motorcycle. But since he met her, he was thinking of trading it in for a car.) There's just something profound in them. Especially since "I love you" gets abused so much in modern culture.
Gushy confessions with the character pouring their heart out for their would be lover has never been my thing. Not to mention... how embarrassing that would be! So often time when I write confessions, I try to make them unusual, awkward or amusing. I can't write sap with a straight face.
Even this was a bit of a stretch for me. But I had to make the dialogue make sense.
Technically the game was just to fill in the text bubbles, but I couldn't bring myself JUST to post text. I wanted to have some fun with it. So I added color.
Adding color to the background would have taken too long though. And I didn't want to mess up the original lines.

The scene reminded me of my old one-shot and I wanted to see if I could incorporate some of the lines from there to the comic. Obviously I couldn't post it word for word, and the comic doesn't visually match up to the fanfic. But that's what I had in mind when I went into making this.
It was a lot of fun actually. I might be interested in holding one of these as well some day.

I don't much like vague confessions between characters, because to me it just leaves things uncertain. I like things to be clear between both parties-- Poor Communication Kills, after all.

This is the scene that every True Pokemon fan has waited for. What we really want is for Ash to finally finish his journey, meet up with Misty again - then they at long last admit their love for each other.
The final episode, as I would want - is to show a photo montage of Ash and Misty as they've grown older, finally concluding with a pic of them at their wedding.
Last scene would be Ash and Misty (now much older) saying goodbye to their child, as they set out on their own journey with Pikachu - walking off into the sunset.

I'm with you there and I know exactly what you mean. I can't do a picture of Ash and Misty kissing or saying the 3 words. It's not my thing. I much prefer awkward romantic build-up.
But anyway, the dialogue and colouring is great!

it's from the one-shot I wrote. and no she's not.
in the one shot ash confronts misty wanting to know what her answer to the proposal was. gary's match was aired on tv. at the end of the match, gary proposed to his girlfriend who happened to be misty at the time. the footage was cut off however and ash tracked misty down hoping to find out what her answer was.
turns out she turned gary down. but she gets angry with ash for asking- as the two haven't really seen each other in years. she tells him that turned gary down because she wasn't interested in marriage right now.
that's how the one-shot goes mostly. you can go read it if you'd like.
