Obidiah Stane may seem like a cruel business man but in all truth his just a man trying to pay his bills. At a young age the young genius saw his own father commit suicide by playing Russian Roulette believing that he was so lucky(because of his winning streak which earned exactly 6,000,000 dollars). After that the boy was forever traumatised and was adopted by the starks. There he met Maria Stark(Antonio mother and Obidiah foster sister) this adoption started Stark Industries after its fallout by her Grand father Arnold Stark A.K.A Baron Zemo. At first they’re only interest was money but all that changed when Maria was shot by Denise Karadon a former cop who believed she was a robber because of her ethnicity. Her husband Howard was so traumatised he gave up on the weapons program and dedicated her company to helping not hurting them the same couldn’t be said for Stane.

Nowadays corporations won’t pay much for helping people but hurting one another, which leads to Rhodeys debate if Obidiah would make devices that would help people if things in the world are different. When his daughter Whitney Stane was breed she suffered from a rare genetic disease that cost millions to treat. Thus creating his obsession with making money. He was so tired of it he decided to forge a special exoskeleton that could be a permanent cure. Unbeknownst to him it gave Whitney a split personality in the form of Madam Masque the head of the Maggia Crime Family. Upon discovery he realised police even S.H.I.E.L.D would kill her on sight, he willingly covered up major Maggia attacks. However he intended to stop them but Iron Man made it harder.

Within time he was able to stop this Mr. Hyde persona(temporarily) and have his company back on track. In all honesty his weapons were the cause of Howard’s plane crash and on occasion wanted to remedy that, though not as much as Antonio wanted. In his own words “I may make weapons, but I’m no murderer.” But doesn’t mean he won’t hire criminals to do his dirty work example:Ghost and Archlight 

His company board of directors weren’t interested in his projects since Antonio was gonna inherit the company. The only thing they were interested in the armour that whooed the world, the Iron man armor. In a desperate need to save his standing he hired Archlight to get the armor schematics but failed then the ghost was next and she succeeded. With the schematics he was able to form the Guardsman and when that failed he built the Iron Monger Mech a King Kong sized mecha designed for advanced warfare. This caused the board to vote Stark out of inheriting the company.

When his lackey Boris Bulski(the first Titanium Man) died in a demonstration Stane took matters in his own hands and became the next pilot. In a demonstration Stark sabotaged the armor causing a major malfunction that caused the Monger Suit to be permanently bonded to Stanes body. Enraged by the fact his entire life was thrown upside down he goes on a rampage King Kong styled but all the factors that were used to . The entire board was killed in the attack. However he came to his senses before killing Pepper. But Justin hammer took a different turn with this story.

He controlled the armor in an attempt to make Stane look worse so that Justin could inherit the company. As the Mecha was literal steps from crushing Whitney he was able to gain some control of the armor an committed suicide by jumping of the side of stark tower and into the city though caused allot of casualties mainly officers. But this isn’t how the Stane blood line ended, it carried in with Antonio Daughter Morgana Stane A.K.A Grey Goblin.
