~~~First Appearance: Hobgoblin- The Amazing Spider-Man #238 (March 1983)
Roderick Kingsley- Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #43 (June 1980)

~~~Bio: Back in the 90’s, Manhattan was plagued by the mysterious gun smuggler and thief only known as the Hobgoblin. He was brutal, efficient and never got caught. But one day, he disappeared and haven’t been seen in 20 years. However, Spider-Man comes across a security guard who brutally kills several of Fisk’s goons hijacking a money truck. He follows him only discover him in an orange goblin costume with high tech ordinances and waging war against the Kingpin. It’s revealed that Hobgoblin is Roderick Kingsley, a notorious arms dealer and crime lord who retired when he drew too much attention, but came out against Fisk after one of his men killed his son. Deciding to modernize, he acquired technology from an old business partner: Norman Osborn. Using a modern glider, an modified goblin suit and an assortment of firearms, Hobgoblin was reborn for the 2020’s. He’s since fought Spider-Man several times, even gaining his respect and expanded his empire against other rivals. Time will tell what Roderick has planned.

~~~Personal Note: As you can see, my Roderick bears a striking resemblance to Jason Statham who’s best known for action anti hero characters. I felt that Hobgoblin should have a design like a more refined version of the Green Goblin, without the insanity and a more tech and military look, inspired by Oni's and Green Mamba's incarnations.
