~~~First Apperence: Liz Allen- The Amazing Spider-Man #4 (September 1963)
Magma- The New Mutants #8 (Oct. 1983)

~~~Bio: MJ’s younger sister and the snobby, egotistical and pretty “It” girl of Midtown. She's also Flash's girlfriend and considers Peter something of a loser, even taking part in the general ridicule that Peter endures on a daily basis. She’s also a notorious xenophobe against mutant (in part because her uncle is a mutant and she might have the gene). She's part of a small group of mutants who don't want their powers and support mutant monitoring systems (Unfortunately they're labeled as mutant traitors because of their opposing opinion, they're not they just want a chance to be normal and not hated by everyone).

That all changed during the Sentinel invasion in DC (she was visiting family) when one of the sentinel fell its core was destroyed and a strange blue mist washed over her. She was exposed and transformed into a volcanic like being. She was rescued by the X-Men and kept in isolated, but they noticed her powers have a specific trigger: hate. Also, her DNA was completely altered but not like a mutants, but something older. Liz wanted answers and know the only way she could do was delve into her own family history.

After she's returned home, she escapes her detail and finds her grandma Amara Juliana Olivians Aquilla about this power. She comes from an ancient line of superhumans. She tells her that their family comes from Nova Rome, a colony of the Roman Republic reportedly founded shortly after the death of Julius Caesar in 44 BC. The colony is hidden in the Amazon Rainforest of modern Brazil, and was ruled by a mutant only referred to as "Sinister". Liz's ancestor Lucius Antonius Aquilla was cursed with a mutant power called The Firebrand that grants them the power of the volcano but as a price, they live with constant pain and that their power is driven by hate. Lucius managed it but was warned that one of his descendants would reignite the curse again (lucky Liz). Amara tells Liz that the only way to be rid of it is the kill the thing you hate the most in life.

Liz starts to go insane from the pain and after being bullied by her former friends, she transforms into her lava form. This draws the attention of the X-Men who tries to get her to calm down. During the fight, Liz stops and becomes horrified by the destruction she caused, and then tries to end the thing she hate: herself. But Spider-Man gets involved and gets her to give herself a chance to live. She stands down and allows herself to be arrested and is put her trial. While she does pled guilty to her destruction, Liz remains firm on her stance of mutants, stating that not everyone wants and should have this “gift”. Because of the testimony from her friends at MLF on her character and the fact she didn’t kill anyone and the damage was done by the people attacking her, Liz was given a light sentence of 5 years at the Raft, and afterwords, she's given community service and close monitoring by the Avengers Initiative on her powers. She has since returned to society currently working at FEAST, though a shell of what she used to be. But Peter hears that she’s been dating an old friend of his and it’s really turning her around. Currently, she's starting up a small multi media company she calls Alchemax.

~~~Personal Note: My version of Liz Allen is a composite of her Ultimate Version, and a mutant hero called Magma and her origins, as well as my universe's Firebrand. It took me a while to figure out how to do a lava character. This was intended for Inktober but I struggled with inspiration and the motivation to finish, but now that I have a job and working on balancing that with my art, I feel more motivated and will be showing the last few images from Inktober I didn’t finish in time and expanding on characters I didn’t get to.
