Yay!!
I'm sure it doesn't look like much to you guys but this crazy picture took me a zillion hours to make! And why is that? BECAUSE IT IS 100% PAPER!!! The only part that is digital is that fact that you are seeing it online, the sig and the border...that is it. there were no digital corrections or enhancements or anything!! not even a pencil line! The picture started from a doodle i made on a sticky note because i saw this really cute geisha picture online when hunting for images for work. But! i think it came out quite nicely! So now you know i don't just do digital work! I encourage anyone to make pictures from paper, it's freaking time consuming but i loved every second of it! Hope you guys like it!!!

What an amazing collage! I am consumed with envy, collage is something I have simply never been able to master. I am most impressed by the shadows; they are hard enough to get in the right place with pencil.

thank you!! i wish i could collage too...i always see these really awesome ones but i can never pull it off -_- this is about the only style i can do, hehe ^_^ which is still experimental...but i'll try and make some more! you need to make some too!!

Wow! I am really stunned with how crisp of a picture it turned out to be! Using different levels of paper to create depth and shadow, and the overall picture is just amazing! I am impressed lol. I'm also curious to precisely the process it took to make this. Like how did you cut out the paper, did you paste it down, etc.

let's see....i just ended up using an exacto blade (not the knife...i lost it...all i had was the blade, lol!!) and scissors to cut everything out...glue stick to glue everything on...although i should have used spray mount but if i used a glue stick i could make everything inside the house, lol! and then just lots and lots of paper!! i'm making another picture actually for my parents per their request. it's hopefully going to be a tryptic ^_^

What I wanna know is, how many times did you screw up over the course of this project? Seems like you'd have to be pretty focused while working on a piece like this.

I actually only really screwed up on the eyes, lol. it took me 4 tries to get the left eye to work, lol. I accidentally used the wrong blue for the kimono but it actually turned out better so i was happy

Grant Imahara did go to electrician school together, that's true. And when the teacher repromanded us for talking we shocked him with static energy we obsorbed from the carpet... unless Noah was rolling on it that is. It was a small carpet.
