i have to say sunny's... growths... suprised me at first.
but then i took a look at my 11 year old sister and noticed that it's actually pretty dang close to what happens to little girls' bodies when they hit that part of their life. this picture does slightly over do some parts (hips in particular) but even then, it really isn't that over the top.

Yeah i played rising, got the limited edition of the game the day it came out, but when i got to Sunny's part i was pretty sleep deprived since i'd been playing it since 10 pm and it was around 3am at the time because i wanted to beat it in one run so i easily couldve just not realized he adopted her if they mentioned it in a cutscene. if it was in the codec screen i neglected to actually use the codec throughout the game because, well... i just didnt feel like it honestly lol.
when i replay it ill pay more attention to her part in the game.

"Christmas Cake" is a Japanese term used to refer to "older"(as in over 25) women who are "unmarryable"
It's a metaphor that comes from the fact that no matter how delicious a Christmas cake is, no one wants it after the 25th, just like how (in Japan) no matter how good a girl is no one wants to marry her if she's over 25.
It's a big cliche in anime and stuff.
The irony, and thus the joke, is that Sunny is nowhere near age 25.
