Description Custom designed Sonic Screwdriver from Doctor Who made entirely out of Lego.
Took about 2.5 hours to design and build, 75 pieces.
Also shown is an exploded view to show build, I encourage fans to build their own Sonic Tools and lets see them.

This is a Lego Digital Designer (LDD) recreation of the one i built.

Hm this looks interesting and complicated to do with Legos but....

But what? so many people have seen this and are amazed at the design at work. It is a complex yet creative custom build.

But what does it do?  It is nice it really is but I know nothing about Doctor Who beyond it being a show that I couldn't follow as I found it too confusing to keep track of so it kinda makes it hard to be able to connect? relate or..know what this is since it is apparently a thing from Doctor Who so yeah aside from it being really complex looking and probably nothing I would have the patience or skill to come up with and put together, which are certainly things I can appreciate, the Doctor Who aspect for me just..isn't as much of a thing as it's not something I have alot of knowledge about..if that makes sense.

I am sorry though if I came across as not liking it or appreciating the complexity involved as I do realize that things like this do take more skill and talent and patience than I could manage so that I can appreciate. I just..have no idea what a Sonic Screwdriver is or is supposed to be. yeah.

It makes a lot of sense to me knowing that not everyone is familiar with Doctor Who, it is a complex series that sometimes takes a lot of thought to understand.

As for what the Sonic Screwdriver does... Well it uses sound vibration to affect things in different ways such as loosing a bolt or screw, weakening ropes and wires, Scan things and can somehow hack computer systems/manipulate electronics... and much more. So the device can be a major headache to understand.

The complex nature of what I built caught your attention, but the origin of the device used in the show is what you don't understand. You understand what my little model represents and that is more than enough for me, its better than some people ive shown it to and think its something far different.

Hm that is the first normal response I've gotten i think to not knowing about Doctor Who..which actually makes it an abnormal response..I think..hm..now I'm just gonna end up confusing myself trying to figure that out. hng. Either way most people freak out when I tell them I don't watch Doctor Who and a good many have insisted I was lying, and some devolved into yelling and ranting about how people like me are whats wrong with the entertainment industry. yeah. So..you get brownies and cupcakes and pies and morels for being well..You. *gives the tasty edibles* It's always nice to have someone who does not do stuff like that.

Hm that sounds like a very interesting thing..also a very useful one. And one that I'm now wondering what would happen if there were crossovers between the Doctor Who show and like Marvels Agents of Shield..and/or maybe Star Trek if there is a new series for that. Hm..it's now going to drive me crazy wondering what Spock and Kirk would do with the Sonic Screw Driver if they came across one and of course theres also the how would Shield and the Inhumans handle it.

Oh yes I definitely noticed the complexity and intricateness of all those parts since they look like there are rather small and ontop of having to be assembled in a certain way look like they would have to be assembled with a pair of tweezers which just..would drive me crazy. Which is another reason why I don't really do anything with Legos myself anymore since it would probably be expected that I do those 300+ piece sets which..I would never be able to do. Which is why you need to build more Lego things since you have the skill and talent and patience for it that I don't and I need Lego things to admire.

Though what exactly are other people thinking it is?

We are all different in our own ways, it would be a boring world if we all liked the same stuff... vary vary vary boring.

Im sure they could come up with a ton of different plots through use of a Sonic device such as the screwdriver... cus you know just about everything can be made sonic

Maybe not tweezers, but ya its a tough one to put together, so not the best for everyone with so many small pieces. when it comes to building with Lego everyone starts small, then works their way to larger sets, just takes time and fiddling with them.

Well im accepting of people calling it a Lightsaber.... but when someone calls it the Neuralizer from men in black, that thing they use to erase peoples memories... looks like a silver Cigar storage tube.

True..it would be very boring indeed.

Hm now to hope for there to be an actual cross-over to see a sonicized thing in action.

Yeah how you managed to put that together without tweezers just..those pieces are so small and tiny. And yeah..I've had sets before but..I just don't have the patience for them..well the giant 3000+ piece sets anyway..I think the largest set I ever dealt with was a 1000+ piece set..can't remember what it was of though and don't remember if I ever even finished it..I fail at having the patience to deal with so many small things.

Hm..how..is it supposed to look like a Neuralizer? It's not the right shape or..anything for that. Or even better how do people think it looks like a cigar case? I just..how..what are these people thinking? oi.

Well..even if those people are blind..not everyone is and I'm sure those of us who aren't are already curious and waiting to see what new Lego creations you come up with.
