Description Taken in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, 2 years after the devestating Tsunami that killed nearly 170,000 people. I'm currently working out there at present and took a few photos of the area including this series of ship wrecks.

This picture was taken about 0.5km from the sea, the buildings are still supporting this huge boat.

Photomanip - Not the boat on the building but the contrast etc

Maybe should be in a diff category

awesome shot, combining both the textures and the sky depth.
i like the dark colours, suits the background info on where and how this boat found its way there.

*left side of the boat, there is some cloning shadow of the boat to the sky

Wow. Definitely odd. So you work in this area? What do you do?

Yep, for the time being. Working on a spatial planning project for the Earthquake & Tsunami support packages. Currently based here for 3 months.

Cool. That sound really interesting. Not really my kind of thing, but I'm sure you really like it. It's probably hard work, too, I'm sure. But it sounds like you guys are being a big help for the people out there.

just a tad dark (you can adjust it with levels in PS if you wish, however it is not necessary) otherwise excellent. Just plain surreal!

Love the shot! Looks like you got the post work right, too. As for category, I suppose it could go in photojournalism.

I still not completely happy with this shot. I need to take a break and come back to it. Theres something not right about it and its not the fact that a boat is on a building

Well, the contrast/saturation gives it a semi-surreal look, even aside from the actual subject. If that's what you were going for, I think you're at least on the right track.
