He looks like he has six nostrils. I am guessing those aren't all nostrils though.Β

Lol, a lot of people have asked me if those were nostrils. They are heat pits. Boas, pythons, and members of the crotalinaeΒ subfamily [pit vipers] have them.Β It allows them to see in infrared as a sixth sense to help them hunt down prey.
In this photo you can't really see his nostrils.Β
