Iunno, while back I had an idea of an Alternate Universe (AU, but in this case, it stands for 'Action Universe') that reflects this world on all but two (give or take) aspects.

1. Everyone has a unique (to some extent) 'power' or 'Active Ability' and a 'Passive Ability.' The AA's are abilities that are consciously activated and manipulated (in some way or form). For example: Control over fire, or ice, or... forks. Things like that.

The PA is an ability that is always 'active' and cannot really be controlled. For Example: Fire-resistance. Or something cliche like that.

2. Joining the 'human's on Earth are several... 'sub-races' and 'Monster' races. An example of a 'subrace' would be something like a Succubus. Which, while not a demon of any sort, tend to have a family history of being... attractive, along with several other adjuncts like slight control of fire or pheromones or such things.

As for monsters, think of it sort of like Lost Planet akrid. Just not cool as looking because I'll get bored before I actually detail anything. *shrug*

This led to people instinctively carrying around weapons of some sort or another. Joining the addition of 'self defense tools,' was a school course in all things Action-y. Be it healing (everyone has unique powers) or combat. All schools are equipped with specialized centers for duels and small skirmishes. Part of it includes a 'Revitalization Process' which is handy when the students attempt to replicate Saw and Friday the 13th within the arena. (Note: any and all advanced technology is due to the powers given to some smart person somewhere in this universe.)

As for the page above- they were drawn to represent someone I know (aesthetically anyway). Cept the bottom left girl. She came out waaaaay off. Anyway...

-Top Left: "Protagonist" (Obviously, would represent me.) -Weapon: Sword (but prone to change due to power)
-Active Ability: Summon: Actually, its the ability to rip/open a rift/portal between this dimension and the dimension of the user's imagination. While this may seem cheap (because it -is- either way), the user can't create just anything. Said thing must have significant thought and detail/history put into it. (And me, being me, have Halian. Which is cheap as it is.) Let alone everything else that can be brought through.
-Passive Ability: Immunity: Its actually partial immunity, only negative effects are neutralized, while (most) positive effects are kept the same. This said, its a pain to kill me. (because that'd make it boring)

-Top Right-ish: "Heroine" (Representing GF)
- Weapon: High-Calibur: A (obviously) high power handgun which you -really- don't want pointed at you.
-Active Ability: Powerful: Simple enough. She is powerful. Very much so. Don't piss her off, I didn't focus further than 'powerful' for a reason. Like the slowly growing Hero(ine) of any generic story.
-Passive Ability: Status: Links with the 'powerful' thing. This leads to d*mn near invulnerability physically (like h*ll I'm letting my girlfriend die in a universe -I- created. -_-; ) and the ability to more or less never lose. At least in the long run.

-Bottom Left: "Over Exaggerated Friend" (Started based off GF's friend, aaaand stopped pretty quickly after that.)
-Weapon: Knives: Sharp and Pointy. And throwable.
-Active Ability: Study: You know some of those Final Fantasy spells. 'Learn' or something like that? Yeah. It does that. Get info on a target. Good when paired with a specialist of some sort.
-Passive Ability: Appeal: Sorta... didn't really show. But you get the idea. Shes pretty. *shrug*

- Bottom Right: "Popular Friend" (Based on a friend of mine that seems to be able to get a lot of people together. Specifically for airsoft parties)
-Weapon: Rifle: Generic sniper rifle, which has been/will be affected by his AA.
-Active ability: Augment: Grants him the ability to 'enchant an item'. For example, his rifle now tends to make anything it shoots blow up. However, the power level of his augmentations require varying amounts of 'energy' which will tire him out faster.
-Passive Ability: Charisma: Oh cmon. You know what that means if you play RPGs. He can rally the people together. Not very useful in duels, however, if most of them only last a few minutes and nobody stays dead anyway...

Yeah, usually in the 'school course' people are in 'teams' of two. Just saying, as I have a few doodles I'll be posting after this... 8scratch head*
