Yes, all the straw is painted one by one!
IΒ΄m very pleased with this painting,even when my camera messed up the left side, it is a little bit blurry.

The straw took very long, but everything else has a lots of details, so I
had to paint it that way. It would look not fitting when it would be a more
rough style.

Spend lots of time on the straw and the horse tail and you can see
the details much better in real.

When I saw the amount of hours you spent on it I was just "oh my god" xD Though, I guess, if I count all time I spend on one art in digital - maybe it'll be about 15-25 hours depending on if it's semi-realism or realism x)

Yes, it really needs some time, starting from the sketch to the
last details close to the end. Getting the sketch right is the firt
challenge,because you can not rearrange much later like
on a digitalpainting.
