I did this painting in my painting class last summer and I've not gotten to uploading it. Originally, I was going to have an intricate design in the halo as well as Latin on the top, but I ran out of time. I may come back to this painting but I'm not sure yet.

I chose the name Darius because he is a character I made for my character Eve in a D20 Modern campaign. Eve's character was taken from The Doctor from Doctor Who. She's fun and quirky and flies around in a spaceship that changes into absurd things (due to the absurdity drive aka engine) wherever she lands. For instance, a deep blue bug in a medieval village. It's not a super smart ship.
Anyway, Darius was her husband and each of her people had an association with a different kind of bird. (It is what makes them post-human) For instance, Darius' bird is a Magpie while Eve's is a crane. He supposedly died when they landed in WW2 during the London Blitz but she never found his body. She supposes that he is dead.
I wan to eventually do a painting with the both of them, with a full explanation of their people and mannerisms. But for now, just enjoy.
