FULL VIEW PLEASE... for some reason it looks blurry in the preview. THANKS!I feel that this portrays the same emotion as my previous Alone [link] , but obviously in a dipolar manner. At the end of the day it is the same shot in my mind.
Taken on Main street. I had to hang around for quite a long time waiting for all the traffic to clear out because I wanted an uncluttered shot... ie no moving cars. I'm pleased with it.
As a further note: This shot has been taken in every city in America (and likely the world) , but in my mind it PERSONIFIES small town USA. I know this shot is not original, and that wasn't what I was going for. You take pictures of what you know. This is what I know, and it brings forth many of my feelings for this city.
Cropped slightly, border, sharpened less than a tad.

You are so right... this does personify small town America. This looks just like downtown Ottawa, KS. Cliche or not, this is a very good shot.

Nice shot. Though, like you say, it has been taken in many shapes/many ways, it is still a great shot because of perspective. Having that "road to beyond" look is always a safe way to go. Anyway, good shot!

really nice shot and the perspective over the road looks really good too, hey don't worry about being original just shoot what you cant to do, everyone can do the same shot but everytime it will look diffrent. nice one

Main Street, Ames Iowa USA. Located about 35 miles north of Des Moines.... ie. in the middle of nowhere. It's a city of about 50,000 people, 30,000 of which are students at the university.
