welcome to the first ophelianevermore art of 2019...we got.......angels.....very. very cursed angels...anyway. this is Azrael. or like. "my" Azrael bc i doubt the biblical one was meant to look or act like This. some people might remember that i had an angel oc before, Malach . Azrael is her redesign. I also thought it was ~clever~ to rename her Azrael, bc malach ha-mavet is actually one of the alternate names/epithets commonly ascribed to or associated with the traditional archangel Azrael. i am. good writer.
her personality hasn't changed as much as her appearance w the revamp, but she's slightly less uh. solemn, i guess, now, and acts less overtly threatening. there's a much thicker façade of good intentions and passivity that she uses to fool people into believing she's merciful and weaker than she actually is.
she's also got a weird fixation with blasphemy but shhhh that's a secret
