i honestly did not think i was gonna do mermay which is why this is drawn in almost the last week of the month. i am late to the party pls forgive.
i admire everyone's pretty + colorful mermaids so much, they're beautiful, but i personally like the mermaids i draw to be eldritch horrors from the briny deep. so! deep sea jellyfish mermaid! this one is based off of the stygiomedusa gigantea which is a giant rareboy who's basically only spotted once a year.
she has no brain or heart, but she loves you anyway.
