a beauty of the sea that likes to wreck ships and eat sharks

continuing the tradition of making eldritch monstrosity mermaids! last year it was a deep sea jellyfish , and this year it's a primordial sea monster. she's veeeery loosely based on the concept of Leviathan and other such colossal, hellish monstrosities from the very depths of the ocean's trenches. but uh yeah! she's here and she's ready for a rollicking good time.
this was fun cause i rarely draw any "scenes" or similar in my illustrations(which tbh i should get on that HAHA im lazy), but for this one it was kind of required because i needed to show how much of an absolute unit this sea monster mermaid is and u can't do that without any other objects to show scale! i imagine she's some sort of infamous legend amongst sailors and pirates. some eccentric kings and queens have put a bounty on her capture, and some enterprising captains and their crews have set out to try and wrangle her. so far, none have succeeded, but at least the giant sea monster is getting plenty of free entertainment.
