They were also very smart and the only vermin who leaved the abbey alone.Well, except the Juskabor.Their leader
Ruggan Bor,also the new Taggerung, was planning a attack on the abbey, but Russano the Wise stopped them.
Lol,I'm so glad that the badger and his Long Patrol never fought the Juskabor,I would have ruined the story.
Haha, forgive me but I am a Redwall vermin fan,I love baddies XD
O,by the way,how many Redwall books do you have?

Yeah, the book is already quite long, an entire battle would've drawn it out unnecessarily. I think the main point of the ending scenes was Deyna disassociating himself from the Taggerung title for good and Gruven getting his just deserts. Though Ruggan Bor would have made a pretty cool main villain on his own.
I like the vermin as well, especially any of the pirates, those are always fun.
I've got all of the books now except for the Rogue Crew and Mariel of Redwall, but I'll probably order them when I've finished reading/rereading the others. The Rogue Crew is the only one I haven't read at this point. Have you read all of them?

The pirates vermin have their own silly, weird language.
Yes,I have them all and have read them all
I have Redwall,Mossflower,Mattimeo and Mariel in Dutch. But I must say that these versions have not been well translated. The story Mattimeo is called Het Zuidland and their are 3 chapters deleted. So that's why I have Mattimeo and Mariel in English, too.Even Mariel and Mossflower have some deleted chapters or some texts that have been motified.Very stupid if you ask me.I will read those books again.
All the books I have like The tribes of Redwalls series, the cookbook, the comic and the others are from Bol.com or Amazon.uk.I also have 2 German editions, the UK version, the 10th anniversary, the 30th anniversary and a non Redwall story:Voyage of slaves.

Wow, that's a lot! I'm pretty eager to get the comic as well, the artwork looks really nice.
Huh, I never knew chapters were deleted in the Dutch versions, but then again I never read them back to back with the English ones. Do you happen to know if there's anything missing from Roodburcht as well? I'm planning to reread it because it didn't trigger my nostalgia in English for some reason, so I'm hoping the Dutch one does ^^

You can find it on Bol.com,I think it is 14€ or sometimes 12€ for the comic.I have re-bought
the Bellmaker,Doomwyte, the legend of Luke and the Rogue Crew because I wanted the pocket versions.
I hope that I can sell the 4 books,I don't like it to have double books in my collection.
Hm,I don't know because I haven't read the English book yet,I don't hope so But the Roodburcht Dutch version
is actually nice to read, het Moswoud not that good,Mattimeo is also good but a shame for deleting 3 chapters and
Mariel was good, too, but never read the Dutch one! The ending isn't correct!
Did you know that Roodburcht has 2 editions? I mean, different covers. The 3 books I have are the first editions, then
there is the second edition but man, what a terrible covers they have.

Haha, I know, I got the first edition as well because I love those covers. I don't think all of the later ones are bad, I like that some of them get pretty dark even compared to the original English ones. The one Mosswoud book featuring Tsarmina's snarling face and Zuidland #3, which portrays Slagars mutilated mug, come to mind. But I agree that the first Roodburcht covers are the best, they fit the tone of the book perfectly ^^

O,yes, that is one of the greatest covers from the Dutch Mossflower trilogy.
My favorite Dutch Redwall cover is book 2 with Matthias and Warbeak.
