They finally released more info about the upcoming pokemon games (Sun & Moon), including the starters, box legendaries and some footage of the game! I'm so excited for these.

I rather like all three starters this time. Popplio initially turned me off a little, but upon seeing it's in game animation and some of the official art it's actually become my favourite of the three ^^ I like the other two a lot as well. Rowlet has a fantastic design and a refreshing colour scheme (plus dual typing from the get go!). Litten may look a bit generic, but has a cool attack animation and a very clever and unique idea for how it produces fire behind it.

Of course the evolutions might change everything again as with previous generations. I'm personally hoping for a tigerlike, quadrupedal evolution line for litten and something fancy/regal for popplio, I can see the thing around it's neck becoming mane of some sort. Rowlet I have no idea which direction they'll take, though it's description hints at a couple of cool possibilities.

Either way, this is the first set of starters of which I don't have a clear favourite or unfavourite. Can't wait for november!
