Yup
I believe that Silver does get rather insecure when alone. But not as the usual insecurity we see in people.
The insecurity that Blaze mentions is "when he's alone". But we never see Silver cry out for Blaze when Shadow smacks him in the head, but instead we get a very opposite reaction. He stands right up and says with much force "I won't... give up! It all depends on me! Can't lose, not when I'm so close!" and then he stands up to run at Shadow and scream. I really don't see how this is the kind of Silver that most people portray as "N-no! Blaze!" when truly, his hostility fuels off insecurity. Not his fear off insecurity.
It also seems that Silver is very... eager to get people on his side. He easily makes allies (Amy, Espio, etc) to help him with his cause, which can show us that he has a very social side to him. Probably the social side that attracts Blaze's introverted personality. He's really "fun" but also very "in control". Those are his two core desires from my observations.
His sense of justice comes from the Controlling personality trait (the desire to have things done his way, which he sees as the right way, thus giving him a strong urge), and his ability to make easy teammates comes from his extroverted side.
So, with these two traits in mind, I believe his insecurity is from his lack of control on the situation, and his lack of teammates that he so desires.

Remember, some characters don't have to say things to show things.

Just a small character observation, I guess. I always wanted to know what kind of insecurity Blaze was talking about... and I think I found it!
