Loneliness... nostaligia... waiting for something that might will never return... perhaps a lost lover, perhaps a love that never existed. Even the sea seems to have calmed down, brooding with the figure...
As always you prove an amazing eye for an emotion filled composition.
The texture of the sky reminds me of those old, pealing off wall paintings, which just adds to this feeling of that enormous time wieghing down on the figure.

Such a wonderful picture.
I've always had a very intimate relation with the sea. Since I was a child that I lived near it and it is so relaxing to me. This picture brings me nostalgia of that cloudy days when I sit in the sand for hours just looking at it. Yes! For me this picture is nostalgic.

I love the monochrome look this (sepia?) and have to say that the textures in this are incredible. Not to mention the way you capture the clouds and how they lead the eye to the right (the viewer's right, that is) is splendid!
