My entry for the contest :>I usually don't bother with contests (I never win lol), but the theme was interesting, so I thought I'd give it a go ^^
These are my versions of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse ( [link] ). From left to right Pestilence, War, Famine and Death.

They're beautiful! I like how you've got them set up, they make me think of Tarot cards or something very stylized like that.

Nice job lass! I like the hand-expressions. Reminds me of the fragility of Klimt's "Kiss". But honestly, I know you could have done better blades. I'm shamed to say, but I don't know anything about "4 horsemen", but seems you have broken barriers again with your different point of view - Fantastic! I cannot but admire you technique, as I always have.

It's true, for a metal artisan, I draw metal embarrassingly poorly - but I'm working on it, so hopefully I'll get better

Now that is cool! Have you been to Kontu's gallery, where
I have had somewhat of craftsman photodiary of my progress
in metal crafts etc.
Btw, do you do photography these days?
I'd really need someone who can use camera and also has
eye for fantasy to help me create a set to shoot my elf-gear
for display. In Kontu there are some pics of it, but they
aren't worth much artistically.

Truly beautiful. I really love the contrasts between each character, but they are all still really pretty. The texture you chose really lends itself well to the flow of the piece too. Good luck on the contest.

THe only thing wrong with this pic is that death shoulc be black, pestilence should be vomit green, and famine should be brown like dirt. over all the composition isfabulose and the artisty is amazing 8/10 instant fave.

I chose the colors based on the colors of the horses mentioned in the book of revelation - white for Pestilence, red for War, black for Famine and pale for Death

Death's dusty colors make me think drought -> famine. xD I do like how frail and meek famine looks but is still probably super dangerous though. :V

Their colors are based on the colors of their horses (white for Pestilence - well he turned out more blue than white but anyway, red for War, black for Famine and pale for Death). And I didn't want to make Death all gothic
