Description
After having it stew in my book for about over a year I finally decided to give this character a run through my new art style. I must say I'm incredibly impressed, it looks nothing like the sketch it once was. Anyway while some of you might have already met her allow me to introduce Aranci Gaincer.

Bio

Name: Aranci Nikkoli Gaincer
Species: Anthropic feline
Age: 21
height: 4' 5"
Weight: 89 lbs
Occupation: spice trader/smuggler

Background: Aranci Gaincer is the many times great granddaughter of renowned medical pioneer Dr Nickolas Gaincer. With such a reputable background she has done anything but follow in her grandfather's footsteps. From a young age Aranci has been somewhat of a problem child often finding trouble wherever it is. Against her parents wishes she sought to find her fortune on the rouge planet Tortarras. After finding some jobs not to her liking she earned enough money to buy a ship and began to be a trader.

Personality: Aranci is a rather neutral individual, mostly concerned with her own needs but is not past sympathy. She is a wondering spirit and prefers to keep moving and seeing new things. She sometimes comes off a bit tomboyish but has been known to flirt with men. You can never be too sure around her however. She has a tendency to often have secrets and due to her smuggling job often has found herself afoul of the law. Aranci however enjoys a good profit and spending earnings on a good time. While she often works alone she is fond of company and has been known to pick up hitchhikers. She does have problems with authority figures and often tries to avoid them. She can be defensive at times if accused and has a particular gem she owns that she is protective of for unknown reasons. Aranci is also a trouble maker or at least finds trouble, and has a bad habit of either getting in tight situations or finding herself in a large sum of debt to someone.

Occupations: Aranci has taken a preference to spice trading, shipping and trading spices across different planets. While most of her cargo is legitimate she has been known to break galactic code. She has been apprehended several times for shipping of illegal substances that have been banned in several star systems as well as the infringement of galactic code stating that faster than light travel species cannot interact with species who haven't developed such technology. She has been caught trading spices and other substances to more pirimative planets though luckily because of her metamorphosis abilities this has has minimal impact on their development.

Due to her abilities Aranci has potential for different occupations. Her ability to alter the cellular structure of herself and others allows her to take on the guise of virtually anything she can think of provided she has the mass to do so. In addition to this she can repair physical and cellular damage to herself and others. These abiltiees would allow her to be an excellent healer and spy should she feel so inclined, however she hasent shown any real interest in such lines of work. The most she has used her healing powers for is to remove the negative effects of her favorite illegal substances and her metamorphic powers have been used either to make illegal trades or to make herself into whatever form one would desire for less tasteful employ.

Powers: Being a psychometabolist Aranci's psionic powers developed more towards the control of the body. She has been known to show the following powers.

Metamorphosis: Aranci is a capable shape shifter, able to take the shape of almost any living creature or object she can mentally visualize. These shape changes are mostly cosmetic but she can gain physical abilities such as additional speed or strength depending on the form she is in. She can use this to disguise herself as a member of another species but to impersonate another individual is difficult as she would need to study them carefully and cant always act out their behaviors. She can share this ability with other allowing others to change into the appearance of different species or to alter their appearance. Most of these changes are cosmetic but she can change the gender or the species of anyone else provided its in the same family.

Fission: Aranci is able to create one other exact copy of herself that looks, acts and is completely identical to the original with the exception that the duplicate does not have a copy of her gem. The duplicate is able to act and use powers just as Aranci can except that while the duplicate is in existence neither can duplicate themselves until they rejoin. Also as aranci does not have telepathy this duplicate is a completely separate identity, capable of thinking on its own and having its own experiences of which the original is unable to experience. When the two rejoin however the duplicate's experiences and memories are merged with the original. Aranci is not able to duplicate any equipment except for her catsuit.

Permeation: Aranci is able to permeate through living tissue, this makes it hard for her to be easily apprehended by anyone with just bare hands. she can effectively pass through any naked organism as if she was a ghost. This ability can be used to also help fish out forgin matter such as bullets or shrapnel from a person which would allow for improved medial treatment were she so inclined. she can also cause nausea by passing her hand through ones vitals and dizziness or even unconsciousness by touching their brain.

Healing: By being able to alter the cellular buildup of another she can cause rapid healing to occur provided its of a physical nature. she can also remove cancer and bacterial infections by altering cellular makeup, but viruses are beyond her ability.

Skills: Aranci has developed some skills as her time as a trader.

Diplomacy: aranci is able to talk in pleasing ways, usually to try and get good bargains or at times to talk he way out of trouble.

Tradeing: aranci knows how to get good deals, find opportunity and seek the best merchandise

Smuggling: she knows how to smuggle goods and things rather effectively, with her begin able to hide things from authority about nine times out of ten.

infiltration and disguise: she has been known to use a disguise to infiltrate either a planet or to be accepted as one of a species.

Aranci's future: Its currently unknown what Aranci plans to do with herself. The trading job is good for her but with her smuggling operations it can end poorly. She does have aptitude as a medic or a spy but as she has yet to find a calling for it.

You are welcome to role play with her if you so please. Hooks can be your character is a hitch hiker in the galaxy, someone she is trading with, a member of law enforcement looking for illegal substances or possibly someone wanting to enlist her as a healer or a spy. its all up to you.
