Edmond D'Vier watched critically as the newest member of SPaVES was led out of the trailer, proud head held high as her fierce gold eyes stared around hawkishly.

Pierre let out soft shushing noises, trying to calm the mare, however the dark dragoness paid no mind to him, tossing her head as she continued to stare around at her new home.

Edmond made a note on his clipboard from where he was standing a short distance away, and he paused before nodding over to the South end of the large property, where a small rocky cliff could just be seen jutting out of small but steep hill. "Take her over to the dragon enclosure, Dupont - but after you put her in, stick around. If you think she and Panja may start fighting, separate them immediately." He said boredly, dusting imaginary dust of his suit's lapel before he turned and walked back off to the main office.

Pierre rolled his eyes but smiled with a cheerful, "Aye-aye, sir~!", as he led the feisty mare off towards Panja's enclosure.

Reaching the large paddock, he whistled loudly to get Panja's attention, then waited outside the gate still holding onto the mare's lead tightly. The mare beside him seemed to wait with him, her nostrils flaring as she tried to catch the scent of the existing resident of the enclosure.

A few minutes passed, then the sound of heavy splashing came, and the nearby lake's clear surface began to distort with movement. A few more seconds, then a dark shape came into view under the water, followed by a head that rose partially out of the water - Panja.

The young stallion's ears pricked curiously towards his visitors, his bright blue eyes scanning them before he heaved his large frame out of the water. Some of the splashing water seemed to freeze and hang in the air, forming an orb of water that soon came darting towards Pierre and the dragoness. The mare pinned her ears and half reared slightly as the water orb rushed her, however upon feeling the cooling touch of it against her face she calmed once more, nipping at it cautiously. Pierre chuckled at the mare's actions, patting her sleek scaled neck gently.

Panja shook the water off himself and let out a happy squeal-like noise as he kicked up his heels and made his way over to the gate, greeting Pierre with an affectionate bump of his muzzle, before he turned his attention to the mare.

The mare regarded him with her cold gold eyes, head held up haughtily, however she made no aggressive movement towards Panja - a fact that made Pierre optimistic. Carefully, he opened the gate and led the mare inside, waiting tensely to see what would happen between the two, just incase he needed to yank her away quickly.

However the two dragons simply seemed to be looking each other over - the mare seemed especially intrigued by Panja's water orb and his head fins, nipping each gently, while Panja himself seemed to find the mare's horn a source of extreme interest, nosing at them curiously and snorting as he encountered a hard texture rather than the delicate feel that his own fins had.

Letting out a relieved breath, Pierre carefully undid the mare's halter and let her loose into the enclosure before he backed out and locked the gate, watching with a smile as the two walked off slowly, Panja continuously nosing about his new companion curiously while the mare shook her head and huffed, nipping correctively whenever the large young stallion got too rough with his nosing.

After they had finished getting used to each other, Panja tossed his head and trotted off towards his pool of water, slipping in with ease. The mare followed him to the water's edge, but snorted and backed up once she encountered the water, watching as Panja swam away to the little underwater cave he had made his home. She continued to watch the water surface for a few more minutes, as if checking to see if he would come back, however when it became clear Panja had gone for good, she turned and made her way over to the rocky cliff, intent on exploring her new shared habitat.

Wheee, new dragon for SPaVES, from the ever lovely *Jian89 ! I'm thinking i'll probably be bringing one or two more in to live in the enclosure, but for now i'm really happy with these two <333

I'm netting Panja's pretty glad he no longer has to live alone, too - poor thing is too clingy for his own good, so having another dragon horse around should do wonders for his nerves
