Dehehe, understandable, centipedes aren't exactly something you would like to pet and if mixed together with something spider / insect-like... Well, I guess it doesn't make it more comfortable

Yikes yeah! There is a nasty centipede species that appear in the desert of Arizona that you wouldn't wanna get close and it could give you a excruciating nasty pain... This is why this kind of creatures are the worst and scariest! XD

I really find them beautiful though! They are also quite interesting, that's why I decided to keep one of those as pets - mine looks like this one here: i.pinimg.com/originals/a3/8d/2…
I'm still a bit afraid of being bitten by it, but since the terrarium is really safe (it really can't escape) and since it's really shy (it usually runs just away when something big suddenly moves stuff around) that shouldn't be a big risk.

What?! You got as a pet, your insanely crazy! XD This could be the one of the most painful bite man! Quite beautiful their legs, but honesty this could could freak you out if you get bitten yeah... There’s a famous YouTube name Coyote Peterson that took a bite and pain index challenge of a Giant Desert Centipede and it was a nightmarish pain seriously, you should watch, I love this channel.

Well, others keep deadly snakes or scorpions - that centipede isn't deadly at least. And don't worry, it's not like I try to handle it with bare hands or anything. I know you *really* don't want to get bit by it - ever!
If you pay it the necessary respect and do everything around it with great care, it shouldn't be ever a problem.
I never can and will understand those crazy people taking them out with their bare hands though.
I know Coyote Peterson! Might sound crazy, but I watched that desert centipede video before buying the aforementioned centipede - I really wanted to know what the risks are and how careful I need to be around it.
But honestly, I really don't regret buying it, it's such a wonderfully beautiful animal.
At first, I thought it's just a deadly killer, instantly going for the kill whenever there is something moving in its habitat, but to my surprise it's actually quite a shy fellow. I once managed to drop its food (a cockroach) on its body. Instead of attacking it, it immediately run away and hid itself under some moss.

Yeah, you got the point. As long admiring safe distance you'll be fine or unless if they are shy one trying to run off. Importantly never adept to carry this kind this creatures in anyways unless if necessary if you need to clean up his habitat. Just to be anyway I don't wanna get a venomous species for me. At least you got everything under control of your centipede.

Really never really wanted a venomous species as well, but.. Oh well, I changed my opinion obviously. 
And I rather have a dangerous centipede than a dangerous snake for example. The centipede doesn't eat that much (once per week) and is also rather small and hence you don't really have to clean its terrarium.. It's basically nutrients for the plants that grow in terrarium.

I always thought I need to draw the other half as well - I finally did it!
That's why I enjoy pure concept arts a bit more than illustrations.. while illustrations are nice and all they usually also hide parts of the creature - or the background just steals a bit of the attention from the creature. (that - and I'm not really that great with creating a fitting background yet)
