Whoa! This caught my eye instantaneously, and not just because it got a DD. I almost feel like commenting would be pointless, as I glance down and see that there are over five pages of comments already there, but if it makes you feel proud of your work then I feel obligated. [:
First off, the faded, vintage appeal this piece brings with it. How when you zoom in it almost has a shudder about it, like it puts you in the place of yet another person in it sprinting for cover from the rain. Like the camera was shivering with that hollow cold when it snapped this photo.
The fog was really like that? Just another reason to want to visit Paris, I suppose. That weather. Odd. But amazing. xD
It's fantastic, really, the way it was able to completely shroud the entire top of the tower, not just blur it. Must've been heavy, like, legitimately, tangibly heavy. I can just feel the air. Thick and with that certain water vapor scent about it. Hm.
I dunno. I really like the way you caught the reflections in the water puddles on the ground. Just another little bit that caught my eye.
Everybody in this seems to have a story. Just...they're all there, and they all have a reason to either stay or go. The couple towards the center, they're in a hurry. They have lives, they have somewhere to be. The man to the right of them, hovering, hunched forward a little bit, he has motive to stay. He might not tell anyone, and it might not make sense, but he has a reason to not mind the rain, to not want to go.
I dunno. I'm ranting. And this comment isn't going to impact you at all. Heh.
Well...
If you bother to read this...
I guess what I'm trying to say is...
This is fantastic.
I love it.
Lots.

the fact that the tower is cut off and the space is left blank is in my opinion (opposing to Zhar-Not-Czar) a marvellous idea, because everyone who's looking at this picture is imagining the rest of it right into this space, a perfect example of an interacting picture. great

ZhaR-Not-Czar [2011-02-02 09:11:35 +0000 UTC]

The point at which the tower is cut off is ugly. Ugly spacing in this picture. This would be an absolutely gorgeous photo, if the bottom was cut off a bit. But then, The picture loses some of its integrity. Well, whatever. Great photo, unfortunate spacing.
