So this was my outfit for Oz Comic Con in Melbourne last weekend. Nyan cat in the style of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Cats! It was an idea I'd had for ages and kept a secret even from my friends, most of whom were dressed as cat versions of the Avengers.

I won't add to the scores of complaints about the con, I'm just glad it was such a non-event for me, all I wanted to do was see friends and I wasn't disappointed. I never got a ticket to go inside, but I had a real blast there with amazing people.

Construction notes
Another 48 hour last minute cosplay for me. Lucky it was so simple. Finished at 2am on Saturday even. Wig, unitard, and tail made the same way as Mungo and Rumple. [link] The poptart was felt and fabric glue. Arm and leg warmers are tubes of glorious faux fur. The cape was a prop we used in Sydney, cut and sewn to fit around my shoulders.

The underlying design is bsed on a cat that was actually in the musical, named simply Grey Swing Cat. When my friends and I were picking cats that suited us, for some reason she really clicked with me. Some day later down the track I'll add fluffies and proper arm warmers (I had to exclude/modify them so that the cape was comfortable to wear on the day).

Three cat outfits in six weeks - time to take a break from it I think. I won't be doing anything major for Manifest. Most of my time will be devoted to my Armageddon outfit. I promise you'll like it
