This is my entry for a contest run by my group called amateurartistarmy.deviantart.c… . ^^

The contest rules state that I have to use these three main colors in a drawing, (okay, five colors if you include black and white, those are exceptions) Green Blue and Pink. That's it. I wanted to give it a try, so I drew a frog with a doodley background. :3 You may not know this about me, but I really like to draw interesting patterns like these, 'Zentangles', I guess it's called. When in doubt of what to do for background, I tend to just let it flow, and see what happens in the end. I also loved experimenting with the mixed media. That was a lot of fun, and I think i'll try it some more.

This is Mixed media, I used a Sharpie pen for the black outline, colored pencil, colored marker, and for the last little touches, I used a bit of white and Lime green paint as the splatters in the background, and the white paint for little bit of highlighting, mostly in the eye.
There's a lot to look at in this picture. What's your favorite part about this drawing? In the scanned version of it, i'm really attracted to the eye, and the frogs feet on the branch. But, in my real version, (It's a lot more vibrant, for starters. Scans love to suck the life and color out of my drawings :[ )
I love the splatters in the top left corner of the drawing, and the big blue paisley. The one thing I don't like about this drawing, however, are the bi white circles that connect to the big paisleys. They just look odd to me, and I wish I hadn't put them there.
