Personal piece. This was a quick painting, meant to get a concept down more than anything. I wanted to make another artwork to greet the new year and I thought it would be appropriate to go with a "phoenix" concept. The lotus flower can be thought of as a flame, and is a symbol of rebirth in some cultures.---
