Any character can be cute, you just need to see what kind of gimmick works with what character.

Well :/ ships... I have never seen Arctic in such an unnatural state XD for some reason he seemed off. Just having emotional outbursts or just losing his mind in general. other times he just seemed more restrained than usual... Then again Arctic was using a lot of energy to just communicate :/Β

it's true XD, for some reason people have ships involving Arctic and this particular AU was the less inane one. Like dude you got low expectations if you want to date that hell spawn XD There is just so many factors to this guy that are huge nopes. Arctic is just too unstable in the timeline of the main series for any kind of relationship :/ Now when he gets older he would become more stable, and would be more open about a relationship. if the person tries in the current canon XD I hope they are very much immortal with a high pain tolerance.Β

yeah :/ it would make you wonder who was the real psycho in that case. He wouldn't seem all that great to a sane person at least XD however Arctic still has a rather angelic appearance which may catch most off guard to his true colors, let alone his main color being white. haha, he just needs time to get his own life together before bringing another in.

Arctic's color scheme is a good representation of what he is.
The white in his outfit represents the purity in him, but is just a mean to deceive others into think
he's completely good, while the color inside him is black Β which represents his true nature of a troubled soul.
The bright contrast is his hidden potential to be a different person in the future, someone who isn't black or white
but a different color than can mix well with others.... or maybe I just made all that up haha but you have to admit

XD Actually that's a pretty good analysis of his character.Β
Arctic himself is a half Phantom which helped in his ghostly complexion, along side him being the white coloroid. He doesn't intend on tricking others in that manner though it just happens. He does have a dark soul due to his past, age, and species.Β
He becomes much more stable as he grows older. There are honestly so many factors to Arctic's behavior than meets the eye. it's a matter of time to gain control. He doesn't necessarily want to hurt others but still feels quite a bit of envy. Arctic at the core is very emotional and weak, being abandoned and not having a true name mixed with the false rumors of his species lead to Arctic forming a wall around him. sadly these things mixed with puberty causing him to become more unstable than he other wise would have been.Β
He is the most open towards Konpaku and Silver, for the most part letting them see who he truly is. At some times he has done this with Nostriano, but rather low key.Β
Arctic is cold and cynical to protect himself from more wounds, the scars being a reminder of what happens if he blindly trusts others.Β

coming up with a semi decent backstory for Kiyomi and tie it up to Maki's XD

I still like Kiyomi :3 she is just adorable X3 sadly I don't think Pluto would get along with her :/ Pluto doesn't listen to others. Nor would she be afraid of Kiyomi, XD it would make for humorous reactions XD

Probably not, they could end up as rivals in some way cuz Kiyomi treats people she don't like or is interested in as plebeians or even servants. But she respects those who are in a high level such as gods... Agh I don't know it's too complicated XD

XD the funny thing about Pluto is that she isn't a god but presents herself as one. Often referring to herself as a god/ God of the Underworld. She would likely show much disgust towards Kiyomi, she may just end up treating Kiyomi like she does her brothers, with a restrained hatred. Pluto will do anything to show she is stronger than other life forms often taking a disliking towards life itself.Β
I'm not sure if Kiyomi will know that Pluto isn't a god.Β

I don't know if Kiyomi could put up a good fight against Pluto but I'm sure the hatred would be mutual and spark a battle at any time. Kiyomi is kinda friendly to everyone but not so much to others that have a power equal or higher than her so she automatically marks them as enemies.
I guess both of our characters are a bit chaotic

Probably Kiyomi would be friendly towards Pluto before getting to know her as Pluto appears weak, being small and concealed by somewhat heavy winter cloths. But once learning more of her, Kiyomi would have more mutual feelings. I doubt Pluto would attack Kiyomi when they first meet, but once learning more of her, Pluto will get aggressive. She would either see Kiyomi as a speck or someone in her way. Either way, seeing her as a waste.Β
Now I'm not sure if Kiyomi could sense one's power, but if she could I'm sure Pluto will be setting off tons of red lights. Given her main talent of destruction.Β

Haha well yeah Kiyomi is not stupid so she will probably keep distance, being able to sense others power is indeed the reason for that and underestimating someone is not an option. As much of a tough fighter Kiyomi can be going for someone as powerful as Pluto is just not a good idea.

XD In a ranged battle Pluto will have the upper hand. her talent is powerful but Pluto physically is weak. She in most cases can't take many hits, often using tricks such as her invisibility to avoid physical confrontations with her opponent.
If Kiyomi can get up and personal she can even the fight. Pluto is merely a physical manifestation of the Planet, to preform her ultimate destruction Pluto needs focus, plus she cant really stand the heat. She also gets fatigued easily, this is cuz her talent is at the molecular level, that is where she can destroy and recreate something.Β

Haha if you put it that way then Kiyomi could have a chance, she is pretty quick and can land several hits in one attack but her defense and physical strength are low.
That's why she also relies heavily on ranged attacks and tricks on the field once she starts to get tired.

Yeah XD Pluto isn't all powerful, she can be defeated, just ask the other planets she has tried fighting.Β
Pluto more or less relies on stealth and powerful range attack. It's better to fight melee against her especially if one could prevent her from escaping.Β

But you know, after all Kiyomi could see in Pluto something more than an enemy/rival, maybe a possible friend friend. She can be a mess but still sees the good in everyone. My entry for your contest was an example that even if you come from an unknown place there's someone ready to be friends with you.

It's still possible for Pluto to grow fond of others, look at Yasiku and friends. She is still harsh on them but still cares. In fact she fought those people before becoming friends. She'll likely show irritation at that point, maybe a bit hostile. But if the later can put up with her for long enough they'll find the core Pluto fights to protect.
XD Charon was the first to show such persistence to Pluto, hence how they are so close. In a way they just tolerate each other. It's possible if Kiyomi shows such a determination, Pluto would lighten up around her. Acting a bit pessimistic but still well meaninged. Basically not as hostile as before.

XD Pretty much, it's not easy given Pluto's aggression and Charon :/Β
I guess it would depend on the point in time. Arctic will be very cold to anyone he doesn't know, often ignoring the person's existence if possible. if he can't ignore the person then he'd give off warnings he'd attack if they don't go away.Β
It's more likely he'd get annoyed by Kiyomi, rather it be her or just her antics.Β
