Description took me a while to get this print how i wanted it in the darkroom. sure i could have dodged a bit on the face, but i do like the shift from light to dark. too much maybe?

shot this during one of our trips on the tgv. france.

I'd have to agree with sublime. You really have to stare to find her ear, i'd like to see a little more of the detail in shadow. also, you may consider burning in the other cheek just a bit. right now it's almost the same white as the window, and it makes her face almost flow into it, not really what you're going for here i would imagine.

overall though, i love the composition of the shot. god i wish i had one of these cameras.

yea, i do see what you're saying. i tried dodging a bit on the left side of the face but that print had that sort of 'less contrasty too much dodging' look. i think the problem is because i underexposed by accident in the first place... and so dodging usually pushes the photo beyonds it's limits a bit. i dunnow, i'll keep trying. and yea i'll try burning on the other cheek too.

thanks for the feedback

light forever wins over the darkness -- perfectly framed -- later days

Love the expression, would have dodged at least a zone on the face but like where you took it..
