I thought this was the first picture I did this year, but apparently not. I've done one or two others, which is pretty rotten. I wish I had a good reason for failing at being diligent with art and art related responsibilities but I really don't. When I get in a not so hot place mentally, the drive to do anything creative plummets to the negatives.Leela here is a half-nymph/half-human bard. She has pointed ears like an elf, yes, but I tried to give her soft features as opposed to an elf's more 'sharp' features. It likely didn't really help. Which is a shame, as I'm sure she'd be dreadfully offended if she were mistaken for an elf.

I'm really fond of her earrings. I can see what you mean about softening her features, and it does make her look a little different compared to how you normally draw elves. But yeah, most people see pointed ears and think elf, so... I also love the hair. I like what you did with the shading to give it texture. And as always, the colors are super awesome. It's great seeing more art from you again. Always excited to see you in my deviantwatch. ^^

Thanks! Probably didn't help that I wasn't entirely sure what a nymph should look like. After looking around it was mostly girls with pointy ears and colored skin of some sort. But I didn't want odd colored skin given the half-human thing.
