Description This is the first page of my instruction. Download for the bigger version.

I don't go into too great of detail, but I've put out all the necessary steps on how to prep the kit.

Anyway, after I upload this, it's off to work I go. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask in the comments section and I'll answer when I get home.

Cheers!

Now I don't know if I want to save up to get a few finished ponies for my best friend, sister, and myself or if I want to save up and get the kits and do it myself. @_@ Ha ha.

Do you recommend a specific paint/gloss for the finishing touches?

I can only recommend what I've actually tried-- but I'm finding that several coats of watered down acrylics work best for getting the smoothest finish... I usually use Applebarrel brand acrylics... and I'm using a clear gloss acrylic spray (Krylon Crystal Clear) as the gloss coat/protective coating-- which works really great.

Wow that putty is potent! I think I will be getting some gloves before I try it again... I am not sure if I will ever get it all off of my hands. At least it looks like it will work out better for the smaller holes than the epoxy I was using.

LOL! Ummm... I'm not exactly sure I want to know the story behind this. I usually put some putty on some cardboard and then use a dull knife blade to apply it to the areas I want it at... at most, I'll use the top of my fingernail to smooth it out a bit.

I just wanted to test it out on the underside of AJs tail.. I figured a few seconds on my fingers would not be an issue... after all the tube says nothing about gloves..well... there IS the part about avoiding contact with skin... but it was only a few seconds! Then a good ten minutes of scrubbing...

It is all good, my nails will grow out eventually.

Thanks for the tips on how to use it. I hope this will help others avoid the same mistake.

Confound these ponies! They drive me to do dumb things!

I think that last line there needs to be used as a general disclaimer for the whole fandom.

It's for prepping the resin mane and tail kits I sell.

I like how the chocolate milk (I assume that's chocolate milk at least) gets lower in the background. We also have the same glass cups, lol

Totally going to consider ordering all of those molds. Literally the only thing holding me back is the fact that I don't have any paints or primers ;(

I'll have to look around online to see if there's any paint stores I can order from mildly-cheaply

Yup, chocolate milk. And I made this tutorial before Discord was introduced!

Look through my photo galleries-- especially the photos in Twilight's folder. I've documented most of the steps that I'm taking with everything.

okay, thanks I'd love to figure out how to make molds of my customs and perhaps make more for others, like you ^_^ I think I'd like to buy some custome parts from you sometime also! thanks for replying~

No problem, always glad to help. I'm still very much an amateur at making/using the molds... but if you have any questions, I'll be more than happy to answer the best I can.

I'm going to do some painting research with my bad casts. I just picked up some acrylics, so I'll give those a try maybe tonight. Otherwise, I've had good luck painting the prepped pieces with enamel spray paint. I know others will want to use different methods though, so I'll play around to see if there is anything that absolutely does not work...

You going to Cheerilee at one point?

I'd like to do her for my collection at the very least. I may or may not make a mold for her depending on if there is interest or not.
