Description Many centuries have passed since it was decommissioned, and buried because it was too irradiated to salvage; so long in fact that another city has risen and fallen above it. Yet after all of this time, something has triggered it, activating its mind, giving it purpose. It has pushed its way through hundreds of meters of soil and has burst forth, ready to face its enemies.

Hey, I just wanted to thank you for sharing this because my little brother loves these stories more than anything else and when I found this for him, he was so happy and it's his desktop background right now. He reads the books to me and I cried for almost half of Lenny's story. And he also pointed out when Hector brought up Lenny's story and I almost cried again.

It's great when someone knows what these are without me having to spell it out. These war machines are often more human than the humans they serve. Time for me to read them again, I think!

Let's just hope there is an enemy for it to fight, unlike in The Last Command (Bolo, not Star Wars).

If it's emerged, no doubt it thinks there is a threat!
I didn't know Star Wars had a "The Last Command"... I'm more interested in Bolos.

Darn it! All I've read is The Road to Damascus!

Please excuse me while I go find a book store....

Nice work!

Like the front 3 turrets. They seem to be grasping for something or it could just be BOLO being excited to see sunlight again.

BOLO's can be destroyed, but they NEVER surrender. I love the stories and have most of the books. Awsome artwork.

I have most of the bolo stories, including a lot that were written by other authors. If you poke around in the "Tales From The Street" or tfts section of my gallery, you will find a short story I wrote inspired by bolos too.
