Detail shots from my latest project.Several firsts for me here. My first Diorama, My first fully panted Kit and some new weathering techniques as well. I am very happy with this especially for my first attempt. The shack is 100% scratch built by me and my first attempt to make a building. I also built a basic seat for the cockpit as it was far too empty without it. I modified the GM in several ways opening the cockpit, tearing up the limbs and such.

I love how the farmer gave the Federation pilot a proper burial. Not many would I bet in the Universal Century. I wonder if they would've done the same if it had been a Zeon pilot instead.
Either way, little details like this are what I love looking for in these.

Useless as I remember them being during the One Year War, I love how the farmer used the GM for something useful.
And gave the pilot a proper burial. Not many probably would. Seeing as how close the mobile suit landed next to his house, and almost crushed it.

Looks pretty awesome!Β My only complaint is that the helmet on the grave looks like a Zeon helmet (most Federation pilots had yellow helmets with white and black details)... Unless that was your intention?

Thanks! And well as for the helmet that's what I get for not consulting a reference. My intent was for it to be in the style of the white suites guess I misremembered. At least it's an easy fix. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

The white normal suits are generally used by the "lead character."Β (Seriously, even Gundam expert and localizer Mark Simmons can't seem to find any other connection)Β Amuro was the only person with a white normal suit in the original Gundam- Kai, Hayato, etc all used yellow normal suits.
I've actually been trying to do research on normal suits and their colors.Β Some EFF pilots have blue normal suits, and I think those are suits meant for "fighter pilots" that just kept using them when they transferred to MS pilots (Sleggar Law, Jack the Ripper, several random fighter pilots from 08th MS team...)Β and some have grey (like Lydo Wolf and South Burning) but I think they're "customized" for the pilot... but yeah, most EFF pilots use yellow.

Interesting. I knew the white suits are mainly used for "main characters" I wanted to use the white suit to add some visual impact. I also kind of saw the white suits as "Ace" suits. Nothing to really back that up just how I saw it.

Apparently in the Gundam: The Origin manga its mentioned that the white normal suit that Amuro uses is a more "advanced" version than the yellow ones.Β Amuro is the pilot of the Gundam so he took priority according to Ryu.Β I guess its the "elite" suit for pilots of "elite" machines... according to Gundam: The Origin anyway.
I still like to think it gives the main characters "plot armor."

Also a white suit isn't the only accessory that grants plot armor. I hear masks also grant a good plot armor bonus.
