yes!
It screams of the 1950's or thereabouts... there are many such places on Route 66

I have a shot of this very motel...only not anywhere near so nice! I love it. I've stood in the same spot... life is strange.

YES!
Route 66 seemed to be full of such places, unfortunately, being Irish, I started and ended my road trip in Baltimore! Next time I must start in Chicago like normal people!
btw
I had only 3 weeks to do the trip in and spent 3 days in Chicago before even setting out, 6000 miles in 3 weeks did not leave much time to explore
