This is a lovely Torque. So this starts life as a flat bar I take it? Did it start out tapered or you pulled and stretched it to get it narrower at the ends? The twist looks really good and the shape is really nice. Looks good on too.

Yes it starts out as flat sheet that is cut to taper both ends 24" long.Because of the twisting it consumes allot of material.24" down to 16" finished length.

I love it. It seems like that technique takes some patience.

Thank you so much!
By all means you should publish your work.Your pieces are absolutely beautiful.
And don't worry if you see someone else with similar pieces.Often craftsmen or artisan working with inspiration from the natural world will come up with similar designs. It doesn't mean anyone copied anyone else. And even if they do,take it as a compliment to your exquisite work.In the long run it takes too much energy to defend your work from plagiarism, energy that would be better spent exploring new artistic forms...Don't let those worries hold you back.Life is short.

YouΒ΄re welcome! And thank you! ThatΒ΄s very true. ..I just tend to forget that from time to time. Thanks for the wise words! During this summer I might have the time to finish and publish some new works.
Have a great spring time!

Thank you Matthew,
This is not 12 ga.It's thinner.1/16"I believe...It's allot tougher than steel so you can get away with using thinner stock and the piece is still resilient, durable, and springy enough to get on and off (the neck) with ease.

Not pushy at all, those were my exact thoughts.I'll keep making additions and little innovations as time goes on.
