I've seen big Wendigos, Wendigos with BIG "coats" and Wendigos looking like they're peeking out from their coats, but this combines a lot of wonderful aspects from those in your style.
Adding to that last part, I really like how you make the two similarly sized here while still depicting the coat's true nature. Adds to the feeling of their cozy little bond all the more!
Was it the intention to put your own spin on aspects of Wendigo art that you like, or did you block out other interpretations and just draw according to what you wanted?

You have quite a way with words, thank you. I got the gist of it from the official art and tried my own take on the character without changing too much of its likeness.
