Description My character Alex from the novel I'm writing.  He's a Russian soldier and a real sweetheart, although he's pretty slow on the uptake.  He also calls everyone Mac, be they friend, foe, or commanding officer.

Yeah, he's pretty adorable.  Kind of clueless about everything though.

Oh good, haha.
Wouldn't want to go into combat with him though.
Nice as can be won't make up for dumbness in the field. XD

Well he knows which end of the gun the bullet comes out of and that he shouldn't shoot at people wearing the same uniform he is.  But that's about all he does know.

Literally me.
I relate to this man.

I think I unintentionally based his character off myself.  He's a moron but he's nice about it.  XD

You're not a moron first off.
I feel like Alexander is a representation of if the both of us meshed together into a guy Russian in WWII.

Okay, that sounded weird.

You never know.  Morons come in all varieties.

Well then
I don't mind being stuck in a Russian with you if you don't mind being stuck in a Russian with me.   XD

Oh good heavens
When I looked for that Russian flag icon to put here
That blasted Hetalia character's icons came up
HE'S EVERYWHERE
I HATE HETALIA

:/

That sounded like a bad pick-up line gone wrong.

Oh lordie, Hetalia is haunting you since you did that drawing.

Hey, it's better than "Did it hurt?" "What?" "When you fell from heaven."  That one is older than the hills.

I know.  And my friend (the one I drew the picture for) oh-so-helpfully informed me that in Hetalia the character Russia is creepy and follows people around or something like that.
I think I cursed myself. :/

Unfortunately, various times.
Now, if it were a dashing pilot-
Then I'd still laugh.
It's too cheesy.
And I'm cheesy.
But that's too cheesy.

Well if there's nothing said friend can do, then
You're hopeless

Hopefully if anybody still uses it, it's as a joke.  Like a purposefully-corny ice-breaker.
Please tell me that they were saying it as a joke.
PLEASE

You have forced my hand.

I knew a guy like that who went to Vietnam. He had almost as many reprimands for not saluting as he had medals.

I know a lady whose husband got chewed out by Patton for not saluting his car when it passed by.

Patton was famous for such things. He would punish soldiers for not wearing ties in the combat zone. He had to have order. Once he ordered Bill Maldon out of his area of control as a bad influence on the men.

I knew about the tie part but not about Bill Mauldin.  You learn something new every day.
