Haven't submitted any colored pencil stuff in a while. Mrrr. The scan is terrible.Felt like drawing someone in an overly flashy, girly pose, and I happened to be re-reading Kare Kano in the meantime (one of the very few true-blue shoujo manga I indulge in), so this ended up being Sakura. She's the daughter of Soichiro and Yukino, and she's supposed to be very beautiful, but I didn't like how she was rendered in Masami Tsuda's style (I don't like her drawing style in general, actually, after Soichiro gets his haircut DUH HUH HUH LIKE I SHOULD TALK). That and there is literally not a single piece of fanart of Sakura ANYWHERE (maybe in a few Jaapnese fansites but it's not too easy to find those). She only shows up in the very last chapter, though. My favorite characters in the series are Maho and Toshiharu.
Probably should have made this Mia or Mist or some other random FE chick instead and thus catered to everyone's Fire Emblemmy needs, but lol no, I'm on this draw-totally-obscure-characters rampage right now.
Sakura kind of annoys me. She's too perfect. The entire basis of Yukino and Soichiro's characters was that they seemed perfect to everyone, but in reality they were horribly flawed human beings. Sakura's just plain perfect. Except she has a rather creepy Thing for her father's 30-something year-old best friend. I don't know if that counts.

I think you may have drawn it little bit right. Looks at bit close to the manga, if you had read the ending of the last chapter of Last Waltz. I don't have the manga anyway. But I wish I would get it. I only have volume 2 of the anime.

She's the complete opposite of my own character who goes by the same name and the scan is not terrible. You portray her character very well through her pose and facial expression and your shading techniques are great too.

Wait... WHAT!?!? Arima and yukino have a kid. Holly crap this is what I get when I find out the school library has a manga section, but only has volumes 1-10 and volume 12, and i get really into the series. you look up the manga and then you get this big shocker, NOW I have to read the rest of them!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well i've thought a little bit about the perfection of Sakura, and i don't think she's as perfect as you think. Of course it's just an interpretation on my part, but like in the cas of her parents, i think her perfection is hiding something. It could be that she is afraid of the judgement of other so she try to be as perfect as possible or something like that.
For me, one of the message of Kare Kano was clearly that everybody is flawed and nobody is perfect. So i can't help but feel that there is something behind the perfection of Sakura.

I like her style best around volume 10 or so, I think. She manages to get good-looking people to actually be consistently good-looking most of the time. After Soichiro gets his haircut, he just stops being attractive. But at the very least, it's interesting to watch how Tsuda develops as an artist. She's pretty crappy around the first couple of volumes.

I really like how perky she looks here; the flowers in the bg definitely add to that effect. (: The face, especially, turned out beautifully too..

Anyway, I like the shading. I think you did well on the dramatic girly pose part. She looks ready to frolick and prance.

I think having an obsessive Thing for your fatherβs best friend might qualify as a flaw. Unless heβs hot, of course. Then itβs understandable.
Yay for flashy girly poses! Reminds me of that scene in the Princess Diaries where Mia says (paraphrased) that a kiss of true love is when your leg pops up while youβre swapping spit with the boy of your dreamsβ¦ *misty-eyed* You got the girliness right, lol. (And GoHH, I should stop saying βlolβ like it was a real word, shouldnβt I?)
Love her pose, actually. And the pretty pink flowers everywhere are a nice touch. Also, my eyes are drawn to her skirt, somehow. It looks really⦠touchable.

Hahaha, leg-popping. I remember that part. And then at the end where she kind of slowly and awkwardly twitches her leg up behind her... I've always thought it would have been a cute moment if only the movement hadn't been so jerky. (I don't know why I'm remembering this.)

I actually really like how the pose came out in this one-both the feet and the hands are very well done. Don't worry Namz, when the series is all over, you can pretned she turned out to be a horrible ax murderer who eats kittens and bunnies.

Ah, it's over already. Sakura's only appearance is in the very very last chapter of the series (one of those epilogue-ish "15 years after the main story" kind of dealies).
