The real hope of any society is not to be found in a social, political, or economic system -- even the best one. If anything, recent history is a lesson in how volatile those systems really are and how quick and uncontrollable change can be. Thank God for our Real Hope -- one that offers what we could never provide for ourselves, and one that never changes.†

Although I'm late for the party, I must speak my mind about this piece.
I am not Christian. I want to acknowledge this from the start. I have never been, and most likely never will be, "religious".
Now, that doesn't mean I hate Christianity, or any religion. Quite the contrary. I believe that Religion can be a wonderful thing. Some people find hope and security in it, and for that, I respect it. Hope is something this world needs more of.
But on the other hand, some people didn't find it in Christ. Or in any religion.
Some people found it in a man who was not a son of god, but simply a man who tried to do what he thought was right.
Does that make it wrong to believe in him? Is their hope "wrong"?
I don't think so. Who're we to judge such a thing? As I said, the world needs more hope, and this man was able to bring it. He may not have brought as much as Jesus, and it may not last as long, but still. For a "short" period of time, he brought people hope, and actually, he still does.
I don't think this should be looked down upon.
From what I could see, I figured you wouldn't mind me airing my thoughts. Feel free to prove me wrong.
