Description This is an image made with Terragen. Still just learning with it. Any pointers you have that would help me would be appreciated.

You will probably want to limit the sun's reflection. This is controlled in the water dialog. The tab on reflections contains several adjustments. Two of them control the size of the sun's reflection and how "thick" it is. Play with it.

I didn't think it would show too much honestly cuz it's so dark.

A close look shows that the hills are uniformly gray, something Terragen would've fixed if you'd added layers.

one and only one surface layer added, and a similar shot. Even in the shadowed areas, you can tell that there is "something" there.
