These two deathclaw experiments here may be an unpleasant or confusing encounter for our favorite deathclaw.

Well ideally the vaults were experiments FOR the Enclave, right? Why wouldnt they reap the benefits for their own use?

well, yeah since vault tech and the government (aka pre enclave) did work together i see where yourΒ coming from. only problem is that the enclave never claims this stuff or can't observe it or worse yet never was able to gain the data to improve upon what the chibi-claws went through because the vaults run on isolated networks (with some radio exceptions, though it's clear this vault never had that radio as we saw it was only recently turned on by chibi claw and the robo-brain lady). not to mention that each vault had it's own separate experiment without duplication. though if i may be so bold, over the pages shown for your comic, you've shown this vault to be almost subtly made to imprison people (controlled by control freak wardens who don't let people go out of line on fear of punishment, similar to vault 111 from the beginning of fallout 3 [i think]) or in this case, be able to bury the "smart claw" program in a concrete/ steel prison. it's just one of those things that you notice doesn't add up. however there is a loop hole in this logic gap. just say they aren't "smart-claws" rather "cyber claws" (similar to the cyber attack dog program that rex from new vegas was from in the prewar world) plus while there isn't a lot of noticeable cybernetics, that brain jar is close enough to rexs that you could just explain the enhancements are internal thus saving you some work and also making logical sense since.... well lets face it death claws naturally have extremely thick, practically armored hides. so they wouldn't need the metal shell that a cyber dog like rex had.
though you would be completely correct on them being able to produce a "base" death-claw as they are surprisingly a prewar experiment meant to replace soldiers on the front lines for the governments army.
TLDR: yes enclave could make deathclaws, but they wouldn't have the data to make "smart claws," just improvised "cyber claws." apologies for the headache and possible snootyness if you read above, i just really love both fallout lore and how tightly you keep your comic, intentionally or not.

Sure the Enclave could make smart claws, they made them in fallout 2 using FEV and regular deathclaws, both things they had pre-war. Shoot they invented the intelligent deathclaws. And whose to say they didnt make them better with data they mined from vault 119 here that they've been spying on for a while?Β (because while most vaults werent being actively monitored this one sure was even if by a skeleton crew). Or that the two in the vault could be super duper early alpha type experimentation combining the two (or early cyber claw experiments I guess, or all of the above).Β

No big deal, I appreciate how into it you are and I do try to make the comic fit in the lore so I appreciate the help. I've never played Fallout 1 or 2 myself c_c I gathered that from reading the wikis and watching old lore stuff on youtube. In fallout 2 there was even an intelligent white Deathclaw companion.Β

well shyte. you'd think i'd have heard about that. reguardless,it's nice to know this. also +20 points for using the hellfire (xo-2 if you perfer that name) armor, as i never actualy found out what happened to the hellfire squads, so (at least from my perspective) it's totally possible they just screwed right off to recapture this enclave program.

Haaa... c.c; The armor is something I thought I made up, I've been trying to make the designs and stuff look ALMOST like the stuff in games but different (like the square eyebots). In my mind Im trying to distance myself from copyright stuff.

Iβll leave a βthis not cannon at this point in time and will not be unless the creator of the comic says otherwiseβ warning so that people donβt get the wrong idea if they find it before your comic or if other fans find it by some miracle.
