Ah I see, me as well. I loved the first anime...but the ending just was too heart breaking for me. I realize that not all stories have happy endings, but those boys deserved more

My heart did break for Ed and Al being stuck away from everybody, I felt worst for Winry and Heiderich (even if he got barely any screen time). Personal headcanon- after Hei dies he magically winds up in Amestris disease-free and he and Winry live happily ever after and have many little gearhead babies. The end. ^^

TBH when I first read the manga I wanted Ed/Paninya to happen more than I wanted Ed/Winry to happen, because I thought Winry was boring. She grew on me, though. A lot. I've done some impromptu cosplay shots dressed as Winry with a friend of mine who cosplays Ed. (They looked stupid because my hair and eyes are brown and I have no wig, and I don't ever want photos of me in a tube top to make it to the internet, but it was tons of fun anyway. I kept cracking up when we were trying to do "couples" shots b/c we're both straight girls.)
However, I'm still all for Al/Paninya. I love Mei dearly, and I want that to happen more, but I've read some nice fanfics for Al/Paninya (one of which made me blush furiously because it was dirtier than I thought it would be), but yeah, I like the dynamic.

Oh I see. I guess I found Pininya slightly annoying, but then again aren't all of the girls? I thought that Winry was a tad bit boring at first as well, but once she turned out to be more...what would be the word, idk...'exciting' or I saw how much she stayed with Ed through everything, I loved her more. I suppose I really decided I was into EdxWin when in Brotherhood, Edward stopped Winry from shooting scar.
Oh I see. Well I honestly never thought of two people like Al and Paninya together, probably because I just sort of ruled her out of my head. (not that I hate her, I just didn't give her much thought is all) I love Mei, because she seemed completely awesome to me in the manga, but she seems slightly...'annoying' in the anime, I don't know why. (haha I see xD I accidentally read this one dirty EdxWin fic, and it was sort of disturbing )

Yeah, I tend to like male characters in adventure stories more than female characters because they're so often archetyped and yes, sort of obnoxious. Winry annoyed me in the same way Sakura from Naruto annoys me...heh, what's funny is that you say you decided you were into EdXWin when Brotherhood...for me, it was actually when I was watching the first anime and they gave Winry more to do in the plot (her increased role is one of the few things I love about the first anime), so I felt I could root for her more. Reading a lot of quality fanfic from her perspective helps too.
I find Mei's voice actress to be slightly annoying, but I love her character.
(As to that dirty Ed/Win fic...I know how you feel. One of my favorite FMA authors also writes smut from time to time, and she includes certain NC17 scenes in some of her longer, adventure-type stories, and I was reading her big bang fic one time deciding that I was an adult and could handle anything she might throw in there because the plot of the story itself was brilliant...I was totally reading it on my phone stuck in a car with my grandparents, trying not to giggle or blush up a storm. Yyyyeah...smut's not typically my thing. XD Angsty angsty angst is my thing.)

Ah I see. Female leads can be annoying, though I think that they did a fabulous job on Winry. She is feminine enough, but has spirit. Oh I see haha, well I loved her for that in the old one as well, but I think that there could have been more EdxWin scenes in the old one. (I love that about the old anime so much <3) Oh I see. I love quality fanfics with her in them as well, they really give you a look inside of her character.

I agree, Mei's voice actor was just a bit...annoying to listen to at times, not saying that I do not like the woman who voiced her. Mei is awesome

Nah, they didn't know. My best friend was in the car with me, though, and she totally knew and was trying not to laugh.
NC-17 for fanfiction is basically the rating that tells you that the story's going to have explicit smut. It's good to know on sites like Livejournal and Archive of our Own... 0_o ALWAYS check ratings and tags on those sites. Meticulously. Or else characters will randomly start behaving...badly...halfway through an otherwise nice story and you'll be all O____O
Also- I am really sorry, I will give you complete feedback on your story once I get the chance- I wound up having a kind of crappy weekend and got none of the work done I should have so it didn't happen. The concept looks really interesting though so I'm excited!
