I was inspired by TamarinFrog 's post about squid parents and decided to finally expand my Splooniverse and introduce the squidkids’ families.

Introducing the Satsuma (Nagami’s) family! They run a small restaurant in Inkopolis, and like Nagami, they are all named after citrus fruits.

Pomelo is Nagami and Clem’s dad and is the chef at the restaurant. He’s a very cheerful guy (and a great cook), and enjoys making dad jokes and bad puns. I keep imagining him to sound like the dad from this video and I don’t know why.

Kiyomi is Nagami and Clem’s mom, and works as the cashier. She’s a little more serious than her husband, but is great at witty remarks.

Clem is the youngest daughter of the Satsumas, being eight years old. She likes to work in the restaurant with her parents, but also has quite the interest in Turf Wars and is constantly asking Nagami about battling (and a certain green teammate).
